Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Can you tell I'm excited? My organic fruit and veg delivery arrived today and I am verrrry happy.

Yup, after weeks of missing the farmers market for various reasons, I finally decided that I needed to come to terms with my student lifestyle and just get a damn delivery already. My good friend M recommended a small organic delivery service. So I sat down on Sunday, and ordered my groceries online.

And today I got apples! And carrots! And potatoes! And ... some mysterious things that I don't know what they are.

Uh oh.

I guess if I'm going to have a veg delivery, I'll have to start learning how to identify my vegetables.

Hehehe. I get a delivery from a small organic box company in the midlands, but I will admit to visiting Abel and Cole's website, or veg box recipes http://vegbox-recipes.co.uk/ingredients/swede.php

when I don't know what to do with something in my box, even though they aren't the companies that I buy from.

Enjoy your potatoes and apples :)

ha! I posted pics of the mysterious veggies from my CSA last summer. Sometimes my mom helped identify them and sometimes other bloggers helped! Good luck! and enjoy!

Ah. Abel and Cole. I used to use them for everything - fruit and veg, eggs, milk even washing powder. How about posting a picture or a description.

Reminds of a time I bought a celeriac at the supermarket and the lad at the checkout had to ask me what it was. He told me he was new and he hadn't done his vegetable recognition course yet.

@ Cathy... too true.

I just realised that the vegbox-recipe site actually has a section titled "tracking down a mystery veggie" with pictures all in one place.

Who knew.

Put up pictures and we'll help.

Chile, I can't put up pictures because I'm too embarrassed. What if I put up a picture of a really obvious vegetable whose name I should know?! ;)

Okay, then email them to me. I won't out you for not knowing them.
