It was cool. I was so idiotic when I spoke to him, though. I was like "Senator, I used to live in Illinois." And he was like "... Oh, Great!" Like ... I couldn't think of anything better to say?!

Wow - you met him???

I stood in line for one and a half hour this morning to vote for him. I have never seen lines like this - going out of the building in the parking lot.

I met him in June of 2007, yeah. And I got to see Senator Clinton in person in January of 2008, though I didn't shake her hand. So yeah, it was pretty exciting stuff!

That's so cool you actually got to talk to him!

I saw Bill Clinton once back in the fall of '92. He was all but elected by then and going to a closed event just down the street from my parents' house. A friend and I rode our bikes over hoping to catch a glimpse.

His bus finally arrived. He jumped off, waved wildly to the small (maybe 50 people), but hugely enthusiastic crowd. He headed for the rope line in our direction. Then, turned quickly and made a beeline for a babe in a bikini standing alone on the other side! Like, who wears a bikini to see the next Pres!? Really, we should have known then how easily he gets distracted!

I saw a great story on the BBC a few years ago about a couple getting married on a golf course where Bill Clinton (after he was President) was playing a round. They invited him to join them for the official photos, and he ended up staying for part of the reception! How cool would that be?!

Oh my God, what an AWESOME story. I want a president to happen to be playing golf where I get married!!

And I thought it was amazing that Michelle Obama came to speak at my school a couple of weeks ago. You were SO CLOSE TO OBAMA. Sooo cool.

That picture is so frigging awesome. You and the next president of our country (it still seems surreal to say that!)

And Ruchi, I have to say that your last post on being inspired as a child of immigrants by Obama's example... that really resonated with me. As another second-generation American, a daughter of immigrants, I *totally* got it. I feel the same way.
