Return to Normalcy

I'm back. I'm exhausted, but fine otherwise. The service was perfect. I managed to speak without crying. And now it's back to regularly scheduled life.

Of course there are only four days at February left, and FeGROCMo has been pretty much derailed. I never managed to put stuff up on Ebay, and the clothing swap that was scheduled for yesterday had to be postponed.

So I am going to try and get set up on Ebay, and I am still going to do the clothing swap sometime in March, but other than that, I'm going to let it go and declare FeGROCMo pretty much a wash. I did get rid of some stuff, and I did put up some other stuff on Freecycle. I did read, "Not Buying It." And I guess given the circumstances, that's going to have to be good enough for this challenge.

Meanwhile, the battery for my iBook is defunct. Which means I probably need to go out and buy a new battery. I was hoping I could wait until August, but I don't think I can go five more months. I don't think a used battery makes much sense though, so consume I must. I am going to put it off as long as I can though. Because I am lazy.

And I am now taking suggestions for my March challenge so feel free to put any and all thoughts in the comments. I have a couple ideas in mind, but I would love to hear from you guys.

I thought about putting stuff on ebay so many times, but never did. Seems a lot of trouble (says a very lazy person) to pack and line up in the post office. So instead I use Craigslist and freecycle because people come to my front door :) Sometimes I just put at my curb with a FREE sign. Sometimes laziness simply rocks :)

I usually put stuff out on the sidewalk with a free sign. Occasionally I will try to sell something. I've also started taking things to the local thrift store.

I don't know about your green thumb, but I am trying not to kill any plants this year (I have what I think is a red pepper plant that is flowering and since I don't know the plant cycle...I am slightly confused...when does the pepper arrive?). So you could save seeds and try to grow them as a challenge.

In honor of St. Patrick's day, you should only eat corned beef and cabbage for a month.

Beany, yeah, I have a black thumb. I also live in a small apartment that gets very little sunlight and I don't have a balcony or anything. So sadly, I think gardening is out.

Mouse, I have to be honest, I don't think I've ever had corned beef! I didn't eat beef for 10 years though and I pretty much only brought it back into my diet because I heart Korean bbq. I eat beef about twice a month or so. So I don't think that's going to work so much for me. :)

I've been hoping you'll do a local food challenge. Seem like it would be pretty easy in sunny Califonia...

Or, since you're in sunny California, something related to water use?

Glad you are back and understand that sometimes life interferes with plans.

I'm working on figuring out a good personal challenge for next month, too. I think addressing stress is going to be my goal, because poor management of it impacts all areas of my life and leads to poor choices.
