And it is ...
drumroll please
The same place I was born, grew up in, and lived for 18 years of my life.
Yes, I am officially declaring that I now live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
It took some soul searching, traveling, and living in New York for two months, but I'm ready to come home. I loved London but I missed my friends and family more than I realized.
Plus, the Bay Area also has amazing weather and Rainbow Grocery! Plus a whole host of awesome sauce bloggers like her, her, and her. What's not to love?
So, yes, I have a home. Now to find the right job.

Excellent news. Congratulations! I'm planning a visit up there in April and would love to meet you.
Congratulations!
Only a 2 hour flight away, eh? I have another friend who recently moved to SF, and I fly through it en route to San Diego at least once a year. I'll keep you posted on any stop-over plans!
Hey, I made the list of hers!! :) So happy you are staying here. It's the same reason we never leave even though we are sometimes tempted.
Welcome back to the West Coast. :)
Congrats on settling on your home, Ruchi! I've only visited, but I love the Bay area, too.
Beany, would love to see you too! Definitely let me know when you visit.
Cath, yes, do let me know if you come through. I'm bummed we never met in the UK.
GB, of course you made the list of hers!!
Thanks, Chile! Thanks Bean Mom!
Who knows if they're hiring, but try Better Place -- I don't know exactly what you did your thesis on, but I think your master's experience, at least from the standpoint of the discipline you were studying (assuming, of course, I'm not hazy on that too), would be a good fit. Just a thought.
